Not sure I buy all that, but I have been on statins and 5000iu d3 for years. All might want to consider coQ10 also if concerned about potential heart health. Read up on it.

Statins almost killed my dad about 20 years ago. His muscles got so sore and weak that he could barely stand up. All the protein passing thru his kidneys from his muscles wasting away almost shut them down! That drug was Baycal: https://www.impactlaw.com/dangerous-drugs/cholesterol-drugs
My uncle lives in Corpus. He had open heart surgery 20 years ago for many severe blockages. His cariologist put him on a statin, and I don't know what else he's on. He's never been even remotely overweight or inactve, but he changed his diet to a more "heart friendly" model and walks at least 10,000 steps a day, with lots of up and down the stairs at some mall down there. A couple of weeks ago my aunt (his wife) told my wife that he had a test done recently that showed an 80% blockage in one of his main arteries, I don't recall which one.

I think I'll get my medical advice from my Internist, not a wannabe citing articles from very questionable sources on the internet. Oh wait, I totally forgot - everything you read on the internet is true!!

Yeah, I know, yada, yada, yada, everything I copy, print, or cite from the internet is God's truth. And, I know so much about medicine that I can deduce and inform you and everyone else which articles, etc.. are true and correct, and which are not.
I think the key to your comment is "He's just one of the very few". I'm sure there are very few, and for good reason. All the rest, of course, including my internist that I have known for over 30 years are stupid and have no common sense, and are being duped by "Big Pharma". But, your internet whacko and his conspiracy theories of medical practice are the truth.
Don't get me wrong, I don't deny that there is a "Big Pharma", just like there is a "Big Hollywood Entertainment political machine", a "Mainstream Media political Machine", and more. I don't trust any of them.
But give me a break for crying out loud!!! I will trust my internist's decisions 8 days a week before I will even listen to some internet quack who is one of the "very few". Anyone who is spouting conspiracy theories as a part of their medical decisions and practice are definitely not worth listening to in my book. If his alternatives are so good why does he have to attack "Big Pharma" to justify his medical proclamations. His alternatives should speak for themselves. Show me the facts Jack, without all the "Big Pharma" conspiracy theory crap in the middle of it. Unfortunately he can't do that, because "just the facts" won't support his opinions.
Oh Yeah: Almost forgot. Any cite to the Huffy Puffy Post rag is a dead give away that the article is absolutely and totally "fake" news!! I'd tear my eyes out before you could force me to read anything the HuffandPuff Post rag!!
