After having breakfast with my wife this morning we were headed back to the Bluff. Got on SPID behind a guy pulling a tri hull with a 70 model merc on the back. I kept thinking I was seeing water splashing on the road but it didn't make any sense. So I got close and the passenger side wheel bearing was smoking . I pulled up along side a flagged him . He immediately took the Airline exit and we both pulled into Oriley's auto parking lot. I think we caught it just in time as the grease was boiling a little further and it would have seized up and they would have had a bad day. 12 inch wheels and no buddy bearings. So if you are going a long distance grease them bearings and push that water out of the hub. Seized up bearings are bad bad bad and will ruin a whole day. It just takes a minute to grease them and just a couple more to stop along the way and check them for heat. Hope they caught some fish. IMS _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| My brother recently went to POC and spun a bearing on the way from AP. A boat dealership and a local welding shop helped him out on a Friday evening saving his trip. There's good people out there. Thanks for being one of them IMS. |

| It's been my experience that, in general, fishermen are some of the friendliest and most altruistic people on the planet. |
