After having breakfast with my wife this morning we were headed back to the Bluff. Got on SPID behind a guy pulling a tri hull with a 70 model merc on the back. I kept thinking I was seeing water splashing on the road but it didn't make any sense. So I got close and the passenger side wheel bearing was smoking . I pulled up along side a flagged him . He immediately took the Airline exit and we both pulled into Oriley's auto parking lot. I think we caught it just in time as the grease was boiling a little further and it would have seized up and they would have had a bad day. 12 inch wheels and no buddy bearings. So if you are going a long distance grease them bearings and push that water out of the hub. Seized up bearings are bad bad bad and will ruin a whole day. It just takes a minute to grease them and just a couple more to stop along the way and check them for heat. Hope they caught some fish. IMS

My brother recently went to POC and spun a bearing on the way from AP. A boat dealership and a local welding shop helped him out on a Friday evening saving his trip. There's good people out there. Thanks for being one of them IMS.

It's been my experience that, in general, fishermen are some of the friendliest and most altruistic people on the planet.
