Well, ok, I want to fish everyday but being in SA, it is not possible (from the surf that is). Has anyone heard predictions for this weekend? Wanted to leave Friday and stay a few days but not sure if the Red Tide will make that worthwhile. As always, any assistance is most appreciated. Thanks!

This is what i hear national sea shore has dead fish and red tide,Dont know if the whole srtetch of pins .My brother went fishing yesterday at the packery with no promblems and he has alergies and would have affected him. Havent heard any thing up north like port aransas yet, The year that it was bad i remember fishing north of packery with no problems and then taking a ride south of bob hall with a different story dead fish every where. Oh yeah the packery was on fire again the last two days with the red fish run and mullet were running. One day out here makes a lot of difference and theres a front comming our way by the weeks end.
Hope that carifies some of your concerns, Dont forget mustang island
and port aransas. Cool

Went by spj this morning, alot of dead fish. Mostly mullet, skip jacks and croakers. Did see nice sized trout mixed in there. Oh yeah and a lot of eels or snake looking thing. That red tide is in packery channel, heading towards bridge. Hope that front get's it out of here.

Sheet, that ain't good. I hope it doesn't end up fouling our inshore fishing. Any reports if it made it inshore through mansfield?

Can you imagen the people who buy the new condos and the red tide effect. I was there this mourning and we left gasping for clean air,Irratation in the throat and eyes. I wouldnt want that in my front yard.
Something to think about. Cool

When I was out there this morning, there was a distinct color change down the middle of the channel. On the North side the water was definately reddish. On the South side the water was still nice and clear. It was wierd. Maybe an indication of net water flow through the jetties? Don't know but interesting to note just the same.
