Got up at 5am this morning and it was pretty calm at the house. So I decided to throw the Kayak in the back of the truck, get some coffee, and a couple taquitos. On the way to eat I noticed both sides of the JFK looked pretty good. Launched around sunrise and headed north.
It was a really nice day out and am glad I went. The wind was a little SW early then dropped to dead calm and finally good ole' SE.
I managed a few blowups on topwaters, the grass was heavy in some areas and not too bad in others. When the wind died so did the fishing.
I took two Red's back to the house for some blackening and a little ceviche!!

Wow! Cool pics. Nice Reds. I can't wait to retire and move down there ,you guys are living in paradise. I could'nt get down there in the last two weeks(lots of work).Went to the "Dead Sea"(Medina Lake) this weekend and tried to catch some Bass. I ended up screwing up a rocker panel on my truck on those big rocks. That lake is in some sad shape. I wish it would just rain!!!! _________________ When the going gets tough, the tough go fishing... |
