GLAD YOUR SAD REPORT WAS ABOUT FISHING. MOST OFTEN WHEN THOSE TWO WORDS ARE USED, IT MEANS WE LOST ONE OF OUR FISHING FRIENDS.

The water was like glass, I have never done well when its like that. I caught a few dinks but only the one keeper. There was another boat in there throwing live bait and it did not look like they were doing well either.

No kidding about the mishaps. I had to tow 3 guys in to the ramp. They broke down about a mile from the ramp. Nice guys but I do not think that they have had a lot of time on the water.

Yeah it can be tough when its like a lake out there. When its super calm, i tend to do well with a topwater, but with a SUPER slow retrieve, more time between twitches, and I pause it altogether quite frequently. Most of my blowups are when the plug is motionless. Seems to me like when its calm and quite like today, too much movement and sound can spook fish.

Barometric pressure was moving all day today. Makes it tuff.

small topwaters and lots of dead sticking with flouro leaders sounds good to me!
