Spent the night on the beach. Woke up to a light NE breeze and thunderheads in the distance.
Rode down the beach and found a few surftrout on topwater.
Finally found some birds working in the distance. Launched the yak and found a few fish. 42" & 43" FL.
I needed to rest from my BTB trip so I put a chunk of meat in the second gut and kicked back. This guy picks it up and I'm working again...he was about a foot thick! (4/0 for reference)
Found the skippies working. I love catching skippies! There were blues, spanish, and trout mixed in with the skippies. This one went 26".
Fish it til the hooks come off!!! That happened twice until I found my good split rings.
It was getting late so I packed up the truck and headed home. I love the beach!!
