awesome report.. sorry bout not making it down, but better on the north end to have problems.
at least no one hurt and all vehicles were recovered...

about the loss of tranny fluid.. is the tranny ok.. i wonder if all the vibration, bouncing around if the pump started to push foam up to the converter and not just fluid? some one else post that similar thing happend but not problems.. just a wondering thought

years ago when we into camping, i towed a self contained trailer all summer long for 8-10 years with different vehicles. had one experience where driving over 55 mph towing that blew tranny fluid out a "relief valve". let the car sit for 1/2 hr, refill and driveaway. when mechanic found problem it was an undersized radiator and somehow the tranny would overheat and blow fluids. maybe same cause. does your cooler block the radiator? good luck kevin.

Couple things I forgot to add: While killing time on the beach waiting for us to come back with tranny fluid one of the guys wiped out surfing the waves with the kayak. Upon resurfacing he noticed his wedding ring was lost. Also the Tundra that had the shock/strut shear ended up having the battery die and needing a jumpstart twice after the PINS ordeal (thinking bad alternator) One of the other guys lost his keys and cell phone the morning we headed down to PINS only to find his keys later Sat night smashed up from getting run over. He did get his cell phone back in one piece though from a maintence guy who found it in the road. I told them it can only get better from here for the next trip and I am figuring we will all catch New state record fish Laughing

About the fluid it is still leaking but stops a few minutes after I turn the truck off. From the research I have been doing online it looks to be some seals that are going bad. I am not driving my truck until I get it all figured out and fixed Confused

Ace Transmission got me fixed up and my truck is beach worthy again. Be heading down Down again real soon. Only this time I may take some extra items I dont always pack for trips down the beach. ie spare motor, 4 spare tires, radiator, spare batteries, etc. Laughing
