With support from the family (which he obviously has) he can fight it and beat it. I have seen it happen before. He can do it!

Prayers sent.

My wife also been battling cancer for 15 years now(colon, liver, lung, front mediastinal area). Been up and down over the years but she is a fighter. They have made much progress with the treatment of this disease. The lung can be resectioned depending on where the nodule is located.(ie removing the diseased area by removing part of the lung). The lympnodes may be hit with radiation to shrink it and then followed up with chemo. When he gets through this they will continue to monitor CEA levels and he will have PET scans at least twice a year.

Can't emphasize enough about the power of prayer, it has helped us with that helpless feeling and gave us strength. We made some visits to several shrines that have helped others with miracles and I feel it has helped my wife. Look up the following Shoenstatt shrine/retreat in Lamar just past Rockport, Basilica Of Our Lady Of San Juan Del Valle-National Shrine in Weslaco,TX , San Juan Capistrano in Mission Viejo California.

I will pray for ya'll. I was diagnosed in Jan 07 (45 yrs old) with non hodgkins lymphoma. Chemo therapy for a while, cancer free in Jul. Jan 08, cancer back. More chemo and bone marrow transplant (stem cells) in Jul 08. They told me I'd be out of work for a year. Back to work as a firefighter in San Marcos in Oct 08. Mar 2nd 09, doctor says I look great, no cancer see ya in a year. Bottom line from my experience, don't give up, there is power in prayer and hope.
