The Blue Angels will be in town next weekend for an airshow along with the Army Knights parachute team, its always to windy for them. If they were Navy jumpers no problemo. Very Happy The Navy loves bad weather, especially the pilots unlike the chair force, they get grounded when there's one cloud in the sky....ha,ha,. just kidding guys. Very Happy

Hey, watch it, IMS! My best friend's son( and my namesake, Maj. "Rusty" Keen), flew left wing for the Thunderbirds several years ago. Got to spend some time with that team and those Air Force guys are all studs!! OK, you're right - ALL of the men and women serving on armed forces demonstration teams make me very, very proud, And yes, the Blue Angels are awesome! As an old Army airborne guy, I KNOW the Golden Knights rule!

Our son, Bryan, has been fueling the F18 jets like the Blue Angels use this week on the deck of the USS John C. Stennis somewhere out in the Pacific.

Thats what i'm talking about..thats our boys out there working their butts off. Poke your chest out dad, I do. Wink GO NAVY

Zach is becoming a Trusty Shellback today a Navy tradition For crossing the equator. You have to be one to really understand. At the end of a long day being slapped with fire hoses, axle grease in your hair and face, and being dunked in stored up tanks of ships garbage everything short of being keeled hauled you become a subject of King Neptunes Order Of The Depth. Transformed from a land lubbing slimy polywog into a Shellback.

I was lead to believe that USMC meant Uncle Sams Misguided Children and that they considered the Navy to be their Taxi Cab. Laughing

Back in the early '80's I saw the Blue Angels, at the NAS and down in Harlingen. I still have the autographed picture back in Texas. Truly a memory to cherish!

Even though I'm flat-footed and had childhood asthma, I would have carried on a family tradition and joined the military. Instead I took up smoking. Rolling Eyes
