The plan was to go to PINS for pomps. That plan was blown away! So I checked Packery, only a few 17-19in. reds. Then Bob hall, lots of bonnethead sharks and some 12 in whiting. So, off to Port A jetties to catch 15 sheepies. Kept the 5 largest. Looked for pomps and reds there. Didn't find em. Still not a bad day! |

Which side is best for catching sheepies? I have not fished for sheephead in over 10 years and that was off the Boca Chica jetties. I always see people on the channel side and the surf side. Wouldnt mind having a limit of good size sheepies. _________________ wishin i was fishin! |

| Depends on the wind and tide. Can catch em on either side. I fished the last concrete slab before the end on the channel side with ghost shrimo and live shrimp. They were deep. I use 1 oz weight and a 1/0 bait keeper hook rigged carolina. |

Use large chunks of horse mullet in muddy water.
Big fish move in and need a scent.
Billy showed me that one in 40+ winds at the 60 MM _________________ Fin in the wind |
