I was looking for an online map of different fishing spots and couldn't find any. I was just looking for a standard map because I was wanting to know where Emmord's Hole was real fast because I was about to leave to try to fish there. I couldn't find anything online and later bought a map so I would know where it was.
I decided to implement all the GPS coordinates into a map online, so I coded up some stuff to store the coordinates and other information into a database and display it on a Google Map.
I am still working on it but have enough done where it is useable. I will later add the different bays and lower Laguna Madre as well. But for now I figured someone might find it usefull.

Google looked into the future and saw that there was gonna be a bridge there someday so they went ahead and added now so they didn't have to later
If you look at the hybrid version, you can sometimes see the real roads via the satellite image, but the map drawn road doesn't alway say on top of it. Sometimes they are pretty far off But it is all close enough to give you an idea. _________________ http://lagunafishing.com - GPS Map/Satellite Imagery of fishing spots in the Laguna Madre

The Holly Road bridge is actually an old Railroad tressel. Right now there is no bridge for vehicular traffic...Adios

You can still get to the bridge from Flour Bluff road on the east side and from Holly via Rodd Field Road on the west. For the west side you really need a 4WD. Lucky for me that that is pretty much my back yard...
And if you fish that area NEVER and I mean NEVER go barefoot in that water...

| Thanks for sharing. That is very helpful and it has also given me motivation to start working on a couple similar maps myself. Thanks and great work. |

I am thinking about integrating comments into each spot so people can post with date if they were catching there or not. Would be nice if used enough then we could see the fishing trends in the more common spots. _________________ http://lagunafishing.com - GPS Map/Satellite Imagery of fishing spots in the Laguna Madre

I added a search so you can search for a fish, quality of fishing and month. So if you were looking for Reds that are excellent fishing in Aug, you can search for it and it will only show you those spots. This should make the map more usefull, at least for me _________________ http://lagunafishing.com - GPS Map/Satellite Imagery of fishing spots in the Laguna Madre

I have added posting ability to each spot, so reports or other comments can be posted. _________________ http://lagunafishing.com - GPS Map/Satellite Imagery of fishing spots in the Laguna Madre
