Anyone buy anything at the boat show?? I went on ahead and picked up a stiffy push pole.. I've been looking to get a pole for awhile.. I picked up a 10' for 105.00... Stiffy had some nice looking fishing rods there as well.. Anyone use them??

I have a 20+ foot hybrid push pole I use to push my phantom around. Works great. I've had it for almost 6 years and it hasn't broke yet. I also have a large assortment of the stiffy rods. I have gotten on a gloomis kick for my casting rods, but for spinning, I have'nt found anything to beat the stiffy's. I've caught tarpon to 50 or 60 lbs and redfish up to 50 lbs on them and they still catch fish.

Checked out the boat show myself. Looked at all the boats and listened to Kevin Shaw's lecture (kept it real basic). Considering the weather, not a bad way to spend the afternoon. Question for some who may be more knowledgeable on the topic. Is the boat show the best place/time to get a deal on a boat? If not, when?

I didn't go to the show, couldn't afford any "more" payments right now. After the kids get out of school, 'Katy bar the door'!!!
