whew folks didn't mean to stir the pot with the last report.
was down at the cabin with my uncle on a cabin maintenance trip.
thursday and friday were really really slow for trout and reds.
the drum were in and we caught a FEW on dead shrimp bottom fishing.
winds were forecast to pick up out of the south southeast on saturday. we stayed and fished the channel during the day saturday. we caught some nice reds and bigger drum compared to what we were catching at the cabin.
saturday night the trout showed up under the lights and we caught some nice trout and only kept the ones between 16 to 20 inches long, anything else was released. i wont post that pic up.... lol.. to much gets stirred up... whew what a pot of stew that last post created...lol...
but i will post a pic up of a 26 inch trout that i released and that did survive, she was barely hooked in the lip....
i also caught a few trout that were around the 22 inch to 23 inch range and i also released them.
i personally don't keep trout that is below 16 inches and over 20 inches...but that is me..... hope everyone enjoys the report and till the next one...peace and tight lines to all....i hope EVERYONE has a wonderful holiday season...f.c. _________________ I'VE NEVER HAD A BAD FISHING OR HUNTING TRIP, JUST ONES WITH DIFFERENT OUTCOMES.

Kudos to you on the latest report. I hope that you will continue to post similar floating cabin reports and pictures on this website... to include 16"-20" trout pics if you wish. Merry Christmas to you too

keep the reports coming with or without pics as you feel comfortable. remember that nobody can please everybody all the time. take care of family and paying customers first, then TRY the rest.
happy holidays _________________ ccbobber |

Well I'll be dog gone! hey I was the guy drifting the channel when you caught that 26" trout in the maroon and white boat. I never knew you where there when I was coming down the channel and when you yelled at me to show off the trout, I was wondering if I had motored to close to your cabin? I told my dad " sure hope I didn't pi** him off, never saw him ".
I thought your cabin was close towards the enterance of the land cut? |
