I was wondering the same thing.
It seems that everyone who posts a message in the forum gets randomly picked to be place into the (I guess home page under the particular locations)?
Considering that there are great articles in the message board why wouldn't it just get filtered and consolidated onto one big site?
Don't get me wrong, I love this site. Its been detrimental to my knowledge of fishing here along the gulf coast
I also noticed that as of last week it has fluctuated between being ranked the 7th and 8th best saltwater fishing sites. That really says alot for our whole eco-system and everyone who actually lives here to enjoy it on a regularly basis and those who enjoy it from afar who have to "plan" a trip down.
Just my thoughts.... _________________ I'm a Mawg: Half Man, Half Dog. I'm my own best friend! |

| It's updated whenever Tyler puts a report up there. This message board and those reports are two separate entities. It allows people to look directly at a particular location to see what's been happening without having to wade through the many posts on the message board. Tyler will periodically post up that he needs some reports for a particular area if he hasn't received any yet. |

| Sorry but this weekend I was entertaining friends and family and sometimes it takes some time to update as in, my time. I try my best. Son goes into the Navy tomorrow, tomorrow is also my birthday and I also have to write a Saltwater Angler article by Wednesday so probably won't be site updates until Wednesday or later. |

No problem as it should be updated mre often and when I get emails or posts regarding that I know I am dropping the ball. My regular job and other extracurricular activities sometimes get in the way. |

Hey Tyler, just want to say you are doing an awesome job. I truly enjoy this site. Now that I am some distance from the water this site is responsible for my sanity from not going fishing.
Thanks and happy birthday. Best of luck with your son going to the navy. Thank him for us for serving his country. You must be a proud papa. _________________ I get lucky every now and then |

Guys,
Many people just do not realize how much work goes into a site. Hats off to Tyler who has worked to provide and awesome site for years and years. Many sites come and go, and yet Corpus Fishing it still here.
But for a site to work people have to do their share. 5% of the posters put up 90% of the fishing reports. If you want a great site, put the reports up.
People assume because you have a site, you are making money or this is an ego thing. Often you make don't make anything on your time, and this is like a child that never grows up and stands on its own legs. You have to constantly work on this to keep it alive.
The internet has made a huge difference in fishing. Pre-internet, the guides has the access to the information and they held the power. The internet has helped people political persuasion that shall not be mentioned fishing. With good websites like we have in Texas, anyone can jump in and catch the fish of their dreams in only a few years. This opportunity exists because of people like Tyler, and the quality members who post their reports and keep the topics moving.
Job Well Done!

Thanks guys!
The reason I do this site is for the other poor schlepps like I used to be when I lived 300 miles away and could not get down here but wanted to find out what was going on and what was being caught.
That way they can keep up with things, interact and sometimes live vicariously through the exploits of others - like the epic reports from some posters |
