ok thanks for letting me join in.... great people here... went off shore out of port mansfield last weekend... snapper were not good for us.... one guide stated it was the nw winds... another stated the crabs moved in on the 80 rocks.... kinda new at this... any opinions???? Very Happy

I would have moved to another set of rocks or structure. My opinion only after spending over a year on a commercial snapper boat. If they aren't on one mountain they will be on another, you just gotta find them. Of course we fished 75-100 miles out in 400 or better fathoms of water.
Question ....The crabs moved in...... Question Thats a new one. Shocked

I agree with IMS. If they are not on one set of structure most often they are on another. I would have moved also.

Very Happy thanks for the info... we did move to the 70's 66 rocks turtle hole ... maybe we did not move enough... most of the people fishing wasn't doing well as we were talking on the radio... thats why they call it fishing instead of catching.... thanks again for the info... How was the water clarity @ The Turtle Hole??

the water at the turtle hole looked good... only small snapper were there caught a few small ones and the trigger fish ate us up... so we moved.. usually a good spot...
