Ditto - took a look myself today too. 2x2's tops. a bit chopy this afternoon, but should die down w/ the wind. appears that there's not too much wind offshore, which will keep the wave height managable. Saw no new weed in the surf.

Thanks for reports...

Was headed to GISP this afternoon for some night fishing tonight, got all the way to San Antonio and alternator goes out... Crying or Very sad
But at least I didn't wind up, getting stranded in the middle of no mans land... Shocked Very Happy

So as soon as I put in my new alternator for my car tomorrow, I'll be headed that way...Unless I go to GISP Friday night...

Or just might wait to try out BHP for the first time, for some night fishing Saturday night...
Then as close to the 4x4 only area on PINS as I can in my 2WD, for some surf-shark fishing...Woohooo...
Hoping the surf is fishable there... Rolling Eyes
Seems it's already fairly nice conditions, farther south from recent reports...

Never tried BHP Saturday, water still to off color for me... Sad
Tried PINS just past 4x4 area for about an hour...No luck, except hardheads... Crying or Very sad
Was told rates a pier are $2.00 a person, $1.00 per rod (4 rod maxium)...Time starts at 6:00 a.m.
Basically, if you get there at midnight have to repay at 6 a.m....

The water today (Mon.)at BHP and way out past the pier was chocolate milk in color with huge schools of menhaden rooting in the bottom keeping it stirred up. The only fish that were biting was big gafftop, sand trout, and an ocnl small shark of various kinds on cut bait.

fee for usage is good for 24 hours if you leave & return. if you stay you're o'k til you leave even if you stay longer than 24 hours. never heard of them going out on pier to check anyones time.

Fees for Bobhall pier is that at 6 am every morning starts a new day if you get there at midnight you have to repay at 6 am. If you get there at 4 or 5 am they will let you slide. they do not go out on the pier and make you pay, but if you leave and get back on you will have to pay at that time. They are starting to check receipts often and doing random cooler checks to keep the alcohol under control but they do not have the man power to check for everything. They usually have one cook and one server on duty at any given time so if they are busy in the restaurant they cannot check for everything at the gate.
