Is a bay slam a red, trout, and flounder? or can it be a red, trout, and black drum? went fishing friday in the wind and drove around alot. finally found some good green water and caught some fish on live shrimp. after we ran out of shrimp i caught the last trout on a texas trout killer.
Ended up with 1 red, 1 drum and 5 trout, but one was released by accident. also caught a whole bunch of schoolies. heres a pic of the catch in my cooler.

Most go with the flounder instead of a drum. Catch both & you got a GRAND slam!

The official " Texas Inshore Slam" is a Trout, Red and Flounder. If your "Slamming" the fish regardless of what species caught, you had a "Slam!". You could have "slammed" your brains out on the pounding you took back to the ramp...that's still a Slam! Take it from the Bayslammer.....Slam! every chance you get and have a slamming good time while your doing it.
