200k boat. Had radar too. The Captain will probably be looking for a new boat as I think the owner is thoroughly Pis#$d.

The vessel is in dry dock at Rock Port as of 1130 last night. Tow Boat US had to do some major work to get it refloated (crack the hull).

Actually running it aground was probably the smartest thing to do especially if the vessel was taking on water faster than the bildge pumps could handle otherwise we might just have pics of the flybridge or less. I guess nobody was hurt which is a good thing....the boat can be fixed.

running a boat aground is never good for the boat, maybe the insurance company. do you remember all the hoopla about 2000 causing internet failure, etc, etc, etc. hope IMS doesn't ruin everything with his ONE man crusade. smoke signal only work when the wind is right and we have no burn ban in effect. hope that tight line isn't a snag.

I notice that there are 4 handles on the bridge. Does that mean that it has 4 engines?

Do you mean the hull cracked before it ran aground?

Even more scary is the fact that a large % of boaters are also in some stage of being or getting drunk while on the water, operating said boat. The last evening of my last trip to Destin I had to tell three different boats that they had no or partial running lights. These "boats" were so big that it made the one in the picture look like a tender! That's about like turning some tinhorn with no training loose on the highway in a tractor/trailer rig, drunk, with a good cross wind blowing and no lights!!!!!!!

Can you imagine the phone call home; "um dad you know your new boat....."

It was a beautiful boat. I couldnt tell for sure the night I saw it but it looked like it had been striped clean. Since you could drive right up to it i imagine that didnt take long either.

Exactly where was this bot run aground at? I know the post said "little bay" or ski basin? Was that the ski basin in Rockport? It does not look like it is why I ask.
