Went to the 4wd sign and free lined croaker between there and the blacktop. Came back with 12 trout to 22" and caught and released two small sharks about 25" apiece. My buddy also hooked up with a nice 3 to 4 foot tarpon that jumped once and broke his line. I don't know what was out in front of us busting bait but they were huge. Numerous times we saw bait jumping out of the water and huge swirls right in the middle of them. I don't know if they were sharks, jack, or tarpon since we hooked up with two of those types of fish. All the commotion was right over the first bar just in front of where we were wading. Awesome sight and awesome day yesterday to be out fishing. We also tried topwaters early but nothing but skips on that.

Excellent report. Swirling is typical of tarpon! Its cool that ya'll got to jump one! Man I need to be fishing right now!
