Got home after work ready to head to Corpus for a weekend fishing trip. And to my surprise waiting for me on the door step was my new Billystixx custom rod. It is awesome looking. Well loaded up the rods, yak and family and headed to the coast. Woke up at 5am could hardly sleep. loaded everything up and headed out. The only thing was were to fish. Decided on Shamrock. Got th ere and thought I had made a huge mistake. Hardly any water on the flats the tide was way out. The sunrise and conditions were beautiful I told myself the trip was already a success. Made across the flat just barely and fished a nice drop off with out a bump. Moved a little ways away and found some baitfish along another drop off. Pulled out the new Billystixx rigged with a Gulp jerk shad and made a cast. Slow retrieve and felt a light bump raised the rod and fish on. Strung up trout number one. Drifted this drop off 4 times and caught alot of trout most were way small or just to damn close to string with confidence. Ended up with three nice trout all about 19 inches. Southeast wind picked up so headed in. Lots of folks out there not sure how every one did. It was a pleasure meeting Longrod and talking for awhile. I will try to post up some pics with my new camera

Tried to show off the rod but I need some practice taking pictures.
