My wife has recently started to wrap rods. Watching her sparked my interest. She let me borrow her equipment for a couple of days and I did my first ever cross wrap. I impressed myself and thank I might have made the wife a little mad. I didnt think that I would have the patience to do it but ended up proving myself wrong.

The only Ugly Stick rod that I like is the Intra-Coastal 7' model (8-17lber one can find at wally world)....
However, after a summer of fishing, all the fancy hologrpahic stickers and threads dim faster than a male fire-fly in heat, exhausting his energy! (cold fusion, if you believe it exists...it does!) |

| How did you'll go about beginning to learn. Did you take a class, watch a video, or just wing-it? It looks like it could be a lot of fun. |

My wife is actually the one who took the plunge first. We first watched videos then bought the needed equipment and the rest is history. And yes it is fun, but be careful it is also verrrrry addicting.

| That's how it starts...one rod, then another, and so on. Pretty soon you end up with a garage full of custom rods collecting dust. |

I think you did a GREAT job Tamer! You have definately made me step my game up a notch. But it's ok... I have something up my sleeve. I like this friendly competition we have going....keeps us both on our toes. But we all know that girls rule and boys drool! Ya know I love ya baby!
