Went to PINS this morning. The driving conditions were the worst i could imagine, especially for a novice like me. But, plowed right through. Jeep handled great, had no problems whatsoever. Lots of weed in the water and still managed to catch several large whiting and a few rat reds. Got my confidence up to drive in the soft stuff, so all in all it was a good morning.

Only went about 10-12 miles. I was pretty nervous about my driving. Now I am much more confident. If a guy gets stuck down there you all take it with a grain of salt. If i get stuck and am by myself I might panic the first time. These are all things I will learn as I go farther. As much as I love to fish I am sure that with a couple of trips it will be no big deal to me when the conditions are not the best for driving. I remember being in sand that soft years ago but my husband always drove, I just rode along and didnt worry about anything. Thanks to all for the encouragement, and if you see me on the beach and I am doing something wrong please stop and let me know, that's the only way I am going to learn.

glad to hear it! You have the right truck for the sand and shouldn't ever get stuck with it!
