Anyone know anything about those electronic fishing predictors? I'm talking about SpeedTech's Angler's Edge and Mariner's Edge, specifically. They take the solunar tables and factor in local barometric pressure and weather to give a feeding level number. The Mariner's Edge also throws in tidal info. I have a bid on one on E-Bay.

Not really, but the best time to go fishing or hunting is when you can! Having said that, if you buy one and find that it works better than just going fishing, please LET US ALL KNOW!

Check the fine print.
Of the 500 sites they support for Tidal Info, Only 5 are in in Texas.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering what sites they would be. However, since I am in the Houston/Galveston area, 4 out of the 5 do work for me. I don't know, I just like the idea that these things incorporate barometric preesure trends in generating the fishing number. Kind of makes it worm-proof for me.

My "just going fishing" this past year has not been that great, for whatever reason. Wrong place, wrong time of day, wrong time of month, whatever. If this can help me hone in on one aspect of fishing, it will be well worth the money.

I have one. The tide tables are close enough. I'm in Corpus Christi and use the Port Isabel tables provided. The barometric trend chart I think is valuable as well as the sun rises and sun set tables. The nice thing it puts into one place where I would have to go to 4 or 5 individual sites to get the same information. I'm glad I have mine. I guess all the gadgets I have are my way of making up for lack of fishing talent.
Have a great New Year.

Now, that's the kind of info I was looking for here. And just the kind of tool I'm looking for. Thanks.
