| our trip to PINS is not until thursday of this week. Just wondering what the most recent weed report is. we plan on going down to the jetties to fish.......also, the san antonio weatherman briefly mentioned a possible storm this weekend. just curious as to any weather reports (this weekend is a long way off) things change quickly and often with texas weather. thanks folks |

We fished Sharkathon this last weekend. Weed was a pain in most areas, but fishable with maintenance. We made it down to the jetties and there was quite a bit of fresh water flowing out of the channel. Not alot of bait around the jetties. North of the jetties, bait was everywhere. The weed we were dealing with was dead and rolling on the first and second bars. The water was gorgeous.. The top two sharks were caught south of the 30. Skipjacks were everywhere. Trout fishing was tough. Several reds were caught but not as many as I would have thought. Hope this helps...
i just noticed that you are from Canyon Lake. Is the lake still high? I was going to head out there in the morning. |
