This is 15 miles south of the Mansfield Jetties
Excellent trip this last Sunday September 11, 2022. Started with a very calm surf and a slight northeast breeze.
Rain minnows in the surf. Fall fishing has just started. Birds everywhere. Will post more photos tonight.

Thanks for the report from down south!
Great camera/drone work too!
I'm starting to see big wads of bait right around the end of Packery Jetties as well.
Water was really pretty here yesterday as well

I was at the packery jetties on monday the first week of the month to see how far the drive was and to recon the area.
There is a lot of bait in the surf at Packery. I am sure all of the fishing close to those jetties is great. Just do not forget the parking sticker to avoid the $200 fine. |

The mullet and reds should be running by October. There is also a lot of action at Matagorda this time of the year, but the beach is not as pretty. |
