no, but I did see that the gates were open a few weeks ago, so you should at least be able to get back there....

the tide is pretty low these days

made the drive down there wednesday morning last week, with the kayaks, to find the gate at the dunes closed haha. grabbed the wading gear and made the walk, and saw about 10 deer so that was cool. Fishing was a little slow, caught a few small reds, and a few slot drum. throwing plum down souths, and texas croaker doa.

dangit! sorry, I should have updated my report; it was closed Monday when I went down there....

I think we need to complain again; they seem to be closing it willy-nilly these days....

stay tuned

What is the deal with the closing down there?

Fished there for years and when the sand got bad in the dunes, the park would "close" Yarborough, but there was no way to prevent anyone from going back there. On those occasions, I would get through the dunes easily and go about my business.

In later years, the park would close Yarborough when the backside road would get bad and muddy, but they would always reopen it when things dried out. I never went back there when the it was closed for those reasons.

Then there was the official permanent closing while we waited for the road to get redone.
