PINS Indian Summer Mega Report - Predator, Pomps, and Puffer Edition

What a strange year! It is amazing that we are still running well over a month behind with typical conditions and migrations. Nonetheless, we have been hammering fish. Sharks (even large specimens) are around and can be caught if you can deter the puffers long enough to keep baits good. I have seen tarpon on the beach even this week. The big news at the moment is the Pompano activity. The pomps have stormed the beach and are being caught pretty regularly with the tidal movements... many times specifically past the 2nd sandbar. I have been using the Breakaway LDX and GDX paired with the Catch Sharks Coquina Sunrise leaders and have been extremely successful.

With the abnormally warm water temps, there is still nothing in sight for any ultra cold weather to cool off the surf. This means there will still be some big shark action along with some mystery species we may see even into December. When the water does drop about 5-10 degrees, expect to see some unholy explosive action as the bigger mullet stock and menhaden will begin to run the beach. This will bring in hordes of reds and hopefully the very much missed jack crevalle to the surf. Regardless, for at least the next month the surf is looking fantastic!

This is one of the best times of the year on the beach and I do run charters around the calendar year. I still have some openings for November and December and if you want in on the action, please get with me ASAP!! This is a great opportunity if you are interested in an adventure either for yourself or your family - Let me know and I will do my best to squeeze you in on an awesome adventure you'll never forget!! For pure action, activity is starting to pick up quite a bit and I expect end of the month or early December to be bonkers! I'm telling you people, the time is right now to get in on a potential trip of a lifetime! Contact me via message or check out Oceanepics.com for more info! Also, With these reports on Corpus Fishing, I am continuing with the special right now for if you book with me and overnight/2-day trip within the next couple of days, ALL kids under 15 are FREE with the standard adult booking (pending transportation). You have to make sure you mention to me this special promo offer on Corpus Fishing. Now is the time guys, get in on a trip or book now to secure your dates for now or the next year!!!

All sharks were caught on Catch Sharks Leaders and Gear. The Incognito Acclimation AND Hammer-time leaders with Tru-Sand hooks have been crushing it! The big tigers came on the new Catch Sharks Viper24 hooks (Ron Richmond landed a 12'6" tiger on this hook two days ago). Reds, small sharks, rays, and the 6'10" tarpon were landed on the Jack Slammers and Drum Masters.

Here are some photos I was able to wrangle up real quick (almost all from charters) of just some of the fish during the recent time period... Enjoy!
