For tens of years my son and his family and we have lived a thousand miles apart and the last year and a half he moved down here and it's been a joy having him around. It had been fun taking him and twin grandsons out fishing and teaching them how to fish salt water. And I haven't duck hunted in a long time and since he's been here we built a blind and have been out duck hunting a several times. What's funny is that he'll let me take the first several shots, and usually miss, and then he would proceed to knock two ducks out of the sky. That's why he is nationally ranked in trap shooting I guess. And then today I've been having a lot of problems with my boat and we pulled the boat out of the water and brought it over to the house. We proceeded to replace hydraulic lines for the power pole, fix the tilt and trim on my motor. Lately I've been getting water in a bottom of my boat and he figured out that it was the speedometer line came loose and was putting water in the bottom at high speeds. Also I couldn't get the fuel filter undone without squashing it and I was afraid to break it. So with his help and mine using two different wrenches we were finally able to get it done. It's nice to have somebody mechanically inclined around. Plus it's so much fun teaching him some of my fishing skills and seeing him have fun with it.
