Was just looking at a report on the news and it showed pictures of the beach. No cars so it looks recent. The water looked fairly green. Anybody been out there to confirm?

I've been looking at the Seagull Condo camera for a few days now and there looked to be clean water not so far off the beach. What got me was what looked like a very low tide.

They sure do a good job of keeping that lens clean. There were some big birds flying around yesterday and they were coming through as clear as if I was right there with them.

'Can confirm' the real low tides, but as of this morning (at Whitecap, where you can park and walk down the beach without having a sherpa to traverse the Berm of Death...... Thanks for Nothing, KAREN!!!! Evil or Very Mad ), the amount of bleached out pieces of seagrass at the high tide mark says it's still hardhead city out there. Water wasn't especially cool, and the color was a 6/7 on a scale of 10.

Pitter patter, ...... Let's get at 'er.

There is not a repeat Coldwater upwelling since the hurricane is there? I fish the surf about a week after the hurricane, 2+ foot waves but water was excellent. Had no luck throwing lures. Definitely not fun walking in and having limited access. Headed back down on Friday. It looks like they are at least going to open up Mustang Island. I read that the beach is still going to be close south of Bob Hall pier? I do not know what is Taking so long to open the boat dock. It was just a sand ramp anyways. They had not worked on the obstructions in front of the concrete ramp in years. When they did they somehow put a big pile of rocks at the end of the ramp that messed up a lot of props.

According to Karen the beaches were going to be open up tomorrow as long as people maintain social distancing.

Good news is the water was beautiful, bad news is we saw them rebuilding berms at certain entrances. I imagine that is in preparation for closing again soon, Labor Day it will be shut down is my guess. Go enjoy while you can.

I was out at the beach this morning. No fish kept. Water is very clear and clean. not much of a bite going on. No weed at all the places I stopped which was packery jettiy on the north side. Only access at this time is via Newport pass road. Fish pass north jetty and I went to bob hall pier or should I say the beach access road north of BHP. Talked to a county employee who said they are trying to get all the access roads open by the end of the week. Of course the area around BHP will be off limits due to the damage. He also told me that as long as Nueces county is using all their earth moving equipment that PINS won
