My dogs thank you, County Judge! You will never get a vote from me, and I will do everything I can to support your next opponent.
Common Sense..... Miles of OPEN BEACHES...... Stupidity on display. |
Sources tell me she plans on running for mayor of CC next time, not CG. Just FYI - but if it's true the opposition will really have to produce for once. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |

My best guess is she wanted to keep the spring breakers away. Which in my mind is probably a good idea. These college kids think they are bullet proof. Talk about stupidity - and they are supposed to be our best, brightest, and the future - NOT! _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!
Even duct tape can't fix stupid ... but it can muffle the sound!!! |

Long time without posting, and I doubt what follows influenced the closure decisions. Wednesday later afternoon, wife and I went to SBH hoping to cast and dash for jacks chasing anchovies. Could not believe the crowds when we turned right onto the sand. Single cars far past the bowl at about 100ft spacing. Lots of small families, couples, etc. Packed, but people were distancing. Finally parked on the PINS side of the sticks.
What disappointed me was the people not distancing. Every time, it was people fishing. I drove by setups that were like Sharkathon. One group had at least 6 cars bumpered up with well over 10 people, running 16-20 shark rigs from their rooftop racks (which is fine). But these people were running around, throwing fireworks at each other, oblivious to any regs or recommendations. It's not the Spring Breakers raising eyebrows. Rant over. _________________ Be sure to make good choices when you're being stupid. |

You are absolutely right. Everything SBH to the PINS sticks has always been no-man's land, especially past the Kleberg limits. That's where all the shady fucks hang out, that's where all the crimes happen (including the NH couple). It truly is a pirate beach, so with the shady ones that hang out there all the time breaking much more serious rules, you really think they're going to follow quarantine and stay at home and social distancing orders? Bet the farm on HELL NO.
Tyler, looks like I found another word for your censor filter to capture. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |

Compared to the 80s SBH has become gentrified along with the rest of the Island. |

I was too young to see it in the 80s, so you could be correct and I have no defense to that. I only speak from my own observations - and I can tell you from what I've seen down there myself, especially after I moved here - I don't like fishing that beach unless a spot looks really promising. Even then, I've always got my eye on my truck and other stuff, and yes, I ALWAYS carry down that stretch. Something just doesn't sit right with me about it. I've heard the stories of the "dune walkers".
I've camped PINS, but I would NEVER camp there. _________________ All things will pass. Have a Blessed day. |
