The blood bank is having a "fishing for donors" event Saturday. I went and donated today as an apheresis donor I was able to do it ahead of time and get entered. Worthy cause to help save lives.

It doesn't surprise me in the least you two are thinking about others. I've given many pints over the years, but today they probably don't want my thinned out blood. I hope it's a very successful event. BTW, Tyler I think adding a thumbs up "Emoticon" would be a great addition to the site.

Wish I could help out. As a service member who was stationed in Germany in the mid 80's, I'm permanently barred from donating blood. Apparently, I have a higher probability of having Mad Cow Disease!

(Now you know the roots of my dark, twisted sense of humor)! Cool

I had melanoma 15 years ago and was told I could never give blood again. Apparently some woman donated a kidney after she died of some other ailment but previously had melanoma and the person who received it died. Now they say after you have been cleared for two years you can donate.

I started donating a couple years after my prostate cancer surgery. I'm now approaching 60 gallons in donations

I would have but I slept through it. It was a really long week for me. A project at work that took months of planning went into execution for 1/2 day. Doesn't seem right, but I am behind them all the way. Not gonna extend into tomorrow are they?
