| My son came over and picked me up in his boat today to do a little fishing about noonish. Reason why we went in his boat is that the last time out in mine my oil light and alarm kept going off. They said that it's a air bubble gets caught on the sensor causing that to happen. They said all you have to do is take off the cowling and take this off and take that off and press the bulb and do this and they lost me after take the cowling off. Anyway we started out on the King ranch shoreline where I caught all those fish the other day and water was not too bad, but not a single bite there. Fished along the edge of the gut then halfway to the shoreline and then right up on the shoreline with the same result. Nada. Went on the other side of the gut towards the icw and nothing there either. Found some Clear water close to the channel heading out from pita to the icw and it was gorgeous but again no fish. Oh I take that bite. I had my one and only bite of the day there and it took the tail off my sand shad. Tried all my 2 minute 3 minute honey holes and other places and no bites at all. One bite, one lost tail, and that's it for about an hour and a half of fishing |

A barometric pressure of 30.43 - 30.47 and rising all day will make it difficult to
say the least. I'm sure the water temps. dropped a little.
This time of the year is tuff as far as consistency. Things will get better as it warms up.

The fish just didn't know who was in the boat or they would have jumped on the hook! |

Brown Santa delivered some new toys and I was trying to get home in time to try them out yesterday.
Your post eased my pain after I got sent to Shiner, TX just when I had almost made it home.
Tried the new lures today and landed a dozen or so trout, three of which were good, solid keepers between 18 and 19 inches.
Beautiful day. Lots of murky water, though.

Gotta hand it to Zia, he posts even when he draws the skunk.
But alas, quickly redeems himself the next day! |
