Hiya!,

Hit the beach today and it was flat. Found fish but worked for them. Water was dirty but trying to clear at the end of the day. Seaweed was present, but plenty of clear areas to fish.

Calm surf

First Pomp of the day.

Caught 3 black drum, but only one keeper at 15"

Plenty of mando size whiting. This only was 15"

My take home for the day. Pomps ranged 13" to 16.5"....no monsters this trip.

BTW, for those that follow me on facebook, for undisclosed reasons, I posted that I fished the fish pass area. Did that for a reason. Anywho...

Slow and steady wins the day! Thanks for letting me hang out at the end and get that last pomp. Nick described it perfectly this morning. Your technique slow and steady like a blue heron in a good spot. Ours was like a Pelican keep flying and diving!

Hiya!,

Sometimes I don't move enough or spend a bit too much time at one spot. However, I do feel some people move too much looking for the epic hole, but end up with very few fish. There is a middle ground there.

I keep telling myself if I don't catch a pomp in the next 20 minutes I will relocate....I end up catching one and give it a bit longer. All I know is that I have been coming home with decent numbers even in the bad conditions. I don't need 50 pomps. I am happy with what I got and enjoy the time spent.

Gave up on Photobucket when they went to the pay model, but I see from your pictures that they are mighty proud of the ads buried in each and every shot.

Who has the tagline - PS, Screw you Photobucket!!!!! CLASSIC Cool

Hiya!

Yeah, I don't have any inline storage other than photo bucket. Tyler doesn't have a photo uploaded....he is old school! LOL Haven't figure out how to link images from facebook....so free version of photo bucket is the way to go until I find something better.

Sort of off topic but why is the surf so Brown lately. We've had a number of days of flat Surf and yet everything remains chocolate. Ate dinner with my son and family out at Mikel Mays today it is ugly. And this is prior to the winds blowing

That's an excellent question. Maybe Scrutinizer has the near shore answers!

Hiya!,

Yes, its strange. I have seen anytime we have westerly winds, it kills the surf, but pushes dirty water further out.
