I was checking out the water in one of the Padre Is canals earlier and it looks very brown. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about any outbreaks of the brown tide. Lets hope not.

I was down there last week, must of the "brown" i came across was more of murky water being churned up by wind and waves.

Very brown on the laguna yesterday from Pita to Baffin... Caught a few fish, but it was extremely slow. 4-6 inch visibility in some places.

Not good news there! Was it brown in Baffin or south of Baffin also?

Real Brown around Pita today. Fished 2-3 hours with gulp under cork and got 2 trout (17" and 26") released and lost a 24" red do to old leader under my cork that I didn't take time to change.

Same results I had yesterday, accept I fished alot longer and caught smaller fish! Zia you always seem to manage a few good ones.

All fishermen are liars; it's an occupational disease with them like housemaid's knee or editor's ulcers. ~Beatrice Cook, Till Fish Do Us Part, 1949

...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy. ~William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954

We ask a simple question
And that is all we wish:
Are fishermen all liars?
Or do only liars fish?
~William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths. ~Author Unknown
