Got started this morning around 9:30. Hut a couple my usual close spots, including aware I caught all the straight out the other day, and not much of anything happening there. Worked around PITA and found some pockets of nice looking water and was throwing my typical Tequila Gold sand eels. Picked up four Reds and 8 trout. Released those above the limit. My wife requested fish to give to her friends before we leave for a trip in New Mexico. The biggest reds were 27 and 1/2 + 28 + the biggest trout went 22.

Nice!

You may have caught on that I named my boat Miss Pita after the island (not the acronym although the older it gets I begin to wonder myself. Laughing ) There is a certain charm in the area and you have to fish it to know.

And, this time of the year... just before wader weather - or even more on the edge of where you should be wearing waders but didn't - that south shoreline produces some fish that will make you doubt if you can stop them. [I feel readers are now wondering what ambiguous shoreline of which he speaks Cool]

Anyhoo..nice stringer and report. And thanks Zia for the tip about hanging a left on 380 off 285...it made a huge difference!

It was a topwater lure he swallowed. I was going to cut it out after I clean them and I forgot and I threw the head over into my canal
