Looks like Hurricane Nate will be out in the central Gulf by Saturday. My guess is this might be the weekend - to watch baseball.

A tropical in the Gulf and easterly winds blowing all the way across the Gulf has pushed water into our coast. Then we have a full moon on top of that. Now the question is will the new tropical storm push more water our way?

Me and Captain Rex taking a high tide walk. Lots of mullet. N eed to go at night with a spotlight.

Some of you old salts here, in a high water situation, are there places (not boat drivers) where reds, trouts, go to avoid getting all wet when this water comes up. In fresh water , around mathis, I know where those places are , the dam, the spillway, various spots in the river, newly covered grass , etc. but in salt water, where might those places be ?

Tropical Storm Nate is presently in the Caribbean near the Honduras and Nicaragua. It should make it to the Gulf of Mexico by Saturday morning.

The PINS camera shows the tides backing off a bit this am (Friday, 6th), but once this storm get into the Gulf, then all bets are off for the Weekend. (PINS is still closed, as far as I know now).

Nice Haul! Can't wait for the tides to get back to normal both in the surf and in the Laguna. Only managed two fish each of the last three days
