Okie Dokie.
Fished out of Packery today. had a late start but launched about 9am. water between the jetties was muddy but this changed to a milky green at the mouth. Didn't find any bait or bird activity close in so I went to the cluster of rigs out in front of Bob Hall. Water was still milky green with a patch of weed here and there, nothing bigger than a table top. Didn't pick up anything trolling but I did manage to jig up a bunch of bluefish for the bait freezer. Lost a coil pack on the motor and had to come back in on the kicker, that took a goodly while. Water temp at the rigs was 83 degrees. i was back in by 2 pm.
As an aside I was visited by the biggest pod of porpoises I have ever seen, easily 40 to 50. It was an impressive sight. |
