While listening to the weather today up here in New Mexico tomorrow's temperature is it going to be 25 degrees colder than today accompanied with snow. Decided it was time to go fishing the Rio Grande by the Taos Junction Bridge. Started out fly fishing a wooly bugger with a copper John barr dropper. Fishing was fantastic. Caught a ton of rainbows. I guess they were hungry pre front. Gave up trout fishing for a while looking for my bucket list northern pike. Was unsuccessful. Went back fishing for trout but this time I switched over to spinnerbaits. Wound up catching between 40 and 50 rainbows. Best gishing day I ever had on the Rio Grande.Fishing was just crazy today. All were CPR.
Just looked out the window and snow has started falling. Should have a couple inches by tomorrow
