We left about 0530 and had lines in the water by 0615 and were back and all cleaned up by 11:30. My guests today were panamayak and Captain Mike. Mike caught the biggest trout and I lost the flounder of the day. All were caught on plastics. It was a fun morning with great company. fishing during the week is great. Ask me if I miss my yob out at the Dumpo ? Retirement is awesome!!!!

Here it is 3 pm and the lagoon is now slick calm. Bet I could go out again and work up more. Maybe hit some Reds.

We all could see it as the water was clear as a glass of water. It was down
about 5ft when it released itself from my lure. It was a nice flattie and it's still a nice flattie. I'm sure I was heard atleast a mile away along with the awes and chuckles in the background. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The only bad thing about the loss is that my wife loves flounder and she stakes claim on the ones I catch. I might have to make a new flounder rule on the boat since I can't deck one. He who catcheth a Flounder on the Flat Bottom Girl by any means has to giveth it over to mine wife with a smile upon thy face. But only one. lol
