We started off the morning with coffee and chorizo egg and bacon tacos. It was just one of those good get along mornings it was obvious that all of our old folks medications were doing their jobs. We hit the water around 7:30 and went straight over to the KRS and started drifting about in front of the 1st windmill ( a landmark for those who don't use gps ). We were all throwing artificials , the winds were northerly about 10 mph. The water was extremely clear with some floating grass.

Here is something that doesn't happen very often but it sure made the morning. Big louie hooks a Spanish Smack, that's just cool and gave us something to talk about for the next 30 minutes. The topwater bite was agressive at first but quickly fell off from the on it was plastics.

What a good crew all retired , all ex Navy. Lou, panamayak, and your truly IMS. Cheers and have a great weekend.

Yes I did . Nothing happening there this morning. No bait working there.

I've fished the various windmills, and have always caught something drifting out there. It always makes me laugh that we use a completely unrelated element 500 yards from water as our marker. KRS is always a good time! Nice haul, and cool deal on that smack!

A Spanish Mac, that far in the back, who would have guessed. Nice job of catching by some real "old salts".
