Decided to take a chance today and headed down PINS.. Hit the beach about 8am and didn't see any signs of Red Tide, there was no aerosals and no dead fish on the beach. The water clarity was not great but quickly changed to a sandy green color as the day went on. Made it to the 31 and decided the best water was between the 20 and 30. There was good schools of mullet running the guts all day managed a few bluefish and some whiting. Driving was 2wheel drive all the way to the 30. On the way off the sand there was a noticeable change in water color. It was starting to turn into that trout green we all love. I stopped at the North Sticks to take a look and water was trout green there as well with plenty of bait. Hopefully we dodged a bullet with the Red Tide but only time will tell.

Aaron.

I'm really kind of mystified by this red tide talk. We went down Weds and the first we heard of it was from the lady in the ranger booth.

Drove down to the 35 and fished our way back, (Beach was getting darn skinny and we did not want to get blocked by high tide) I think we saw a total of three vehicles all day and never did use the 4x4.

Did very well on Smacks at the 28 and there were tons of ladyfish and a few pompano as well. Not one trace of red tide that we could find. Water was very clean with a ripping north current.
