Hit the Laguna this morning in search of a boat. Caught 4 redfish but none of them had a boat attached to it. Let them all go. Fished Spoil Islands ulm. Also cut between 20 and 25 trout and only two were Keepers. Wasn't that after those spotted silver things today so I let them go as well. Might try again tonight for that elusive boat.

Went back out after having chicken fried sika deer for dinner. Grass was.really bad. Couldn't bounce lure more than 2 times before it was full of grass. In a little over an hour I didn't catch much of anything. On the way home took a slight detour to where I saw 2 guts converge. Put on a white gulp under a thunder and proceded to get a limit of trout from 17"-20". No reds tonight. Here is where I caught them.

I just have to ask what boat were you searching for? Unless your saying that there weren't many out there. I guess alot of people went somewhere else for the holiday.

Probably searching for a Star Tournament red to get a truck/boat package. Not many tagged reds caught this summer.

I'm surprised that you did not find that boat you have a way of finding most everything else. Love you sharing your stories.

Had same problem with grass in Y pass, put on a small cork float about 12-16" up, landed a 27" trout after chasing their wake around.
