I'm kind of stuck on the one. Can ayone identify this spider. She's about 1" long in the body and is a serial killer of moths at night. Spins a web on a corner of our garage every night. Just wondering if anyone can id it for me.

That's Sara.
Cool spider. Have some similar here in some outside corners. Don't know much about spider ID other than jumping, garden, orb web weavers etc.
Looks like she's been in a tussle sometime in her short life. |

| Been a long time since ENTO 201, but I think it is a member of the "Orb Spider" family. They are nocturnal and spread/gather their web each night. I have a few between my trees and house. Great caution is taken if I go out in the yard early mornings. |

I think it's safe to say it's an orb weaver but I have no idea the species. Let us know what you find out. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

Thanks guys. Along with the ten tarantulas I counted in the front yard yesterday, we've got quite the collection. _________________

I would have been like...yeah I counted ten dead tarantulas in my yard yesterday with a ten foot pole. The same ten foot pole from my dating days. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

I used to be alarmed at the tarantulas when I first moved into my house and found one in the kitchen trying to get into the fridge. Now I'm pretty used to them being around. Found one this morning trying to get in the fridge again. I just release them back into the yard anymore. The kiddos think of them as pets. _________________
