Got to love flounder gigging in the summer. Nothing like getting a limit of good eating fish without breaking a sweat. With summer time temps hot enough to boil the shrimp in the bait bucket I have no idea how no idea how people do it. I guess that what makes me a Gigger. Every night it's made very obvious why Conn Brown Harbor has the most flounder guides night after night of limits in all conditions by the biggest names in the world of gigging. Last couple of days we have seen lots of rain and the flounder have been temperamental one night on the shell the next on the silt about the only that has been the same the last couple of night is they are not staying in the bank but in water 2-3 feet deep.
Lots of fresh water have even pushed a few alligator gar into the bays. We have also been gigging some sheepshead and black drum making for a very nice bonus to the flounder gigging. I still have some open dates for June and leave out of Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass which is only a few miles from Corpus Christi Rockport Port Aransas Tx.
