I know it's supposed to be a saltwater forum but just wanted to post up. This is a pic from my front porch in NM. Purple rain.
This is from the fish hatchery in Red River . I could even catch a fish here!

Where is your place in New Mexico Zia? Going out there in a few weeks staying at a spot south of Santa Fe near Las Vegas.
