Mary and I got to the surf this morning about 7:30. Surf was rough and brown. In many cases a foamy brown. No bait. No fish. Did not lose a dead shrimp nor a piece of cut bait in an hour and a half . Best part of the day was taking two mile walk with Mary and then coming back and tailgating eating fresh pomegranates.

Same thing on PINS except you couldn't keep bait in the water or throw lures with all the dead weed. Been a tough fall so far! Jeff Wolda

Well, if you and Mary couldn't get a bite, then I know the fish weren't there.
I've been hesitant to try the beach since when I go to check it out I seem to always get a slight whiff of red tide....but then I seem to have become super-sensitive to it this year.

Always a way to make lemonade out of lemons. A lil walk can do wonders for the sole.

I went out to the surf this evening and the water was much browner than on friday. I couldn't see the baitfish due to the visibility being about 3 inches but there were mullet in the wade gut. It had to wait till they flipped around to see them. Only caught a hardhead and a ladyfish.
