Good News my friend... The Redfish Run hasn't particularly started yet. It's been really hit & miss. Personally I've been on the "missing" side of things. I hate when the guys next to me says, "I was in this same spot yesterday and we were nailing the fish"!!! Nevertheless, I'd rather be on the water fishing than any where else.

Pretty much Spanish and Reds, both slot and bull's. Actually caught some bull's on a heavy spoon. Some guy there told me to let it sink 8 seconds and the reel. He was killing them but had to leave. I eventually began catching them too but ended up losing my spoon. Something very large blew up my doa mullet but I guess I had a weak spot on my line and it busted; drag was fine. There was some jacks and occasional tarpon, and some dude lost what he thought was a king fish. This was a few days ago and things may have change. Some guy was smashing reds with but mullet btw. Either way you'll have some fun. I found a beat up to white magnum Rat-l-Trap that I colored myself (with the wife's nail polish, shh don't tell her!) that I'm gonna throw in a few days. Let's see how it goes.

Is this happening in Port Aransas or at Packery?

I should have gone today, but didn't. Going to try a few spots in the AM if I can get out of bed at a decent time...hate it when the Spurs play on the West coast!

After tomorrow, it looks pretty nasty with two fronts coming through over the next week...

Not very good for jetty/surf fishing.

South Jetty in Port A. I don't like it much either, but as long as they get the W I'm happy! The Spurs are starting to click now btw. Very Happy
