We hit the water around 9:30pm and were greeted with high SE winds around 17mph gusting up to 24mph. The wind was switching back and fourth from SE to S. We hit the Port Aransas area last night and my customers on board were 1st time giggers. They missed a few flounder but with a lil bit of practice they were giggin BIG Summer time flounder in no time!! Floundering has been very consistent this year and with the great conservation efforts of the TPWD, its going to get even better in the years to come. With the tides coming back up to normal we have been finding the flounder bedded down deep in holes and pockets right off of channels.
