Reds already flipped the switch in the bays and offshore. Sightings of big schools of bull reds offshore this past week or so. Inshore the single reds I've been finding have paired up or joined in on schools of 10-20 fish. Mullet are starting to for a line as well. I'd say give it another week or two.

Def won't be long with these early strong fronts hitting. If you can go, I'd go ahead and do it. Almost always get a few in sept. It will last until December.

It sure has been an unusual summer and appears that fall, winter and spring are going to be a bit cooler. we can blame it on el nino.

The 5.5 years I was stationed at NASCC my go time to hit the bull run was always end of Oct through Mid to end of Nov.

both N. Packery jetty and S. Port A Jetty worked best for me. Live finger mullet or shrimp on a lemon rig.

Blame El Nino? I'd like to THANK El Nino for the cooler weather. Smile

Ha! that's what I meant to say! thank you El Nino! this morning is much cooler than the typical August dog days of summer.

Fishing is going to be on fire early this fall through early winter. Better stock up because it's going to be a cold Jan & Feb.
